TIS athlete Josiah Moore completed an interview with VYPE to talk about his life.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

My personal goals would try to make it into a college outta state and have as much fun as my senior year.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

Just playing my favorite sport football and supporting the younger ones as well.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?

I don’t really have a favorite teacher per say I actually have multiple from different grades.

Mrs.Clark she made teaching way better than the other teachers at the time.

Mrs.Series she was a very likable person she was close to family at the time.

Mrs.Smith she was the teacher who tolerated all my bad habits and behaviors growing up and asked to be part of my graduation this year.

Mr. Moser my eighth grade teacher taught me how to look at science a different way and made me have more love for that subjected aswell.

During 2020 the year that had my freshman year on computers for school, my favorite teachers there would be Mr. Rodriguez my English teacher and Mrs.winkle my math teacher they helped me through so much home work. Those teachers stayed webcam calls for an extra 1-3 hours after school ended trying to help me with problems and I thank those teachers especially.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite athletic memory was wen I got my first touch down on defense in 7th grade, though we were winning and most of the team was tired I still got to celebrate my first touchdown with my teammates.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

I remember I was at practice for my 7th grade year, everybody was tired not running plays right and we were just having a bad day at practice. This eighth grader that I remember with the name “Gatorade”. He had so much energy and was very uplifting every time I saw him get a tackle or just do something productive like help clean the field after practice. He inspired me to be the different one and outwork anybody no matter the size or the age.

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

My favorite part about being on any team was just the brotherly love we had for the season and even outside of football no matter the fights and loses we remember and cherish one another through out life.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?

To be honest I haven’t been a lot of places outside of Kansas. The most memorable would probably be in Orlando Florida. I would take my family and maybe 1 or 2 friends from school.

VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?

I would spend the money on some clothes and future gifts for my family.

VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?

I helped the church that I go to clean up and build a new building in April.

VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?

I was actually thinking about joining a few this year since it’s my senior year.

VYPE: Are you involved in academic excellence activities such as the National Honor Society, Student Council, or other academic clubs?

No, I haven’t yet though I will during off season before the year ends.
